Please Support our Township's MSHDA Housing Readiness Incentive Grant Application
Dear Grant Township residents and taxpayers,
Please describe your housing needs and challenges below:
Grant Township is applying for a MSHDA Housing Readiness Incentive Grant as early as Tuesday January 16th, and should we be awarded a grant (up to $50,000), the funds can be used to cover costs associated with the adoption of land use policies, master plan updates, zoning text amendments, and similar actions to encourage increasing housing supply and affordability.
This is an important first step to addressing our housing needs within our Township. This grant does not require any local funds match. Please support our efforts by letting us know how the lack of affordable housing has affected you, your family and loved ones, your businesses, in the comments section below.
For employers within Grant Township, please also consider e-mailing a more detailed description of what challenges you face due to the lack of housing options, that may better support this grant application, as well as subsequent future efforts to apply for similar grants.
Please submit by Monday January 15 for possible inclusion on this grant application.
Sincerely,
Scott Ochodnicky
