Approximate constructions dates are: The week of June 19th, 2023 and well into October 2023, due to be completed this Fall.
October 18th, 2023: 'Substantial Walkthrough' Meeting was held on-site for a near completion inspection. A few pictures of the nearly completed trail have now been posted to this announcement page.
October 11th, 2023: Brief Virtual Meeting was held
October 2nd, 2023: Construction Progress Meeting #6 was held
September 18th, 2023: Construction Progress Meeting #5 was held
August 21st, 2023: Construction Progress Meeting #4 was held
August 7th, 2023: Construction Progress Meeting #3 was held
July 24th, 2023: Construction Progress Meeting #2 was held
July 10th, 2023: Construction Progress Meeting #1 was held with OHM Advisors, Grant Township, Rock Solid Contracting, LLC and Copper Harbor Trails Club in attendance, with subsequent meetings to follow throughout the construction process.
May 24th, 2023: Pre-Construction meeting was held with OHM Advisors, Grant Township, Rock Solid Contracting, LLC and Copper Harbor Trails Club in attendance, and Grant Township provided authorization to begin construction of the Phase III trail.
March 20th, 2023: The sole contract bid from Rock Solid Trail Contracting, LLC for the Keweenaw Point Trails Phase III construction project was approved at the Grant Township Special Meeting held on March 20th, 2023. View the Minutes March 20th 2023 Special Meeting Minutes:
