November 2024 Election information
There are 3 options for how you can vote in this election. The details for each option are below.
1) Go to early voting
2) Request and return an absentee ballot
3) Vote in person on election day.
Early Voting – In Person for all of Keweenaw County Registered Voters
For the Nov 5th election, there are 9 days of early in-person voting
Dates: Saturday Oct 26th through Nov 2nd
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Eagle Harbor at the township hall.
Who: Any registered voter from any township in Keweenaw county (Grant Township, Eagle Harbor Township, Sherman Township, Allouez Township, Houghton Township).
Absentee Ballot for Grant Township Registered Voters
Anyone can request to vote by absentee ballot. You must first fill out an application to vote absentee. You have two options for filling out the application:
- You can email the clerk at clerk@granttownshipmi.org and request an absentee ballot application
- Go to https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/AVApplication
This will send the clerk a notification to send you an absentee ballot. Note: you can still send the clerk an email to let the clerk know that you have requested an absentee ballot
NOTE: After Friday Nov 1st, sending an absentee ballot to you in the mail is no longer an option. The clerk will be available on Sunday November 3rd from 9-5 at Grant Township Hall to process requests for absentee ballots in person.
Election day Voting - for Grant Township Registered Voters
Date: Tuesday Nov 5th
Time: 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
Where: Grant Township Hall
Note: anyone who has not already returned an absentee ballot or voted at early voting can vote on election day. If you have received an absentee ballot and not returned it yet, you can bring it to the polls and process it on election day.
