As per Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order:

“Any individual able to medically tolerate a face covering must wear a covering over his or her nose and mouth—such as a homemade mask, scarf, bandana, or handkerchief—when in any enclosed public space.”

Grant Township Residents

In addition to the Township statement posted on March 25th the Township Board would ask returning seasonal Residents to voluntarily self-quarantine for 14 days and to follow all other precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Restrooms at the Community Center are closed until further notice.

Grant Township Residents

With the risk of COVID-19 spreading to our Township growing daily, Grant Township would ask that all residents and visitors follow State and Federal recommendations and guidelines including Shelter In Place. These general guidelines are effective for the next 30 days, subject to change as needed.

Basic personal hygiene measures:

Wash your hands often with soap and water.
Use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, and then throw it away.
No handshakes or hugs.
Avoid contact with people who are sick.
If you are sick or not feeling well, stay home.
Limit your exposure to public places, and use common sense if you do go out.
Keep a minimum 6-foot distance from people.

Other precautions to limit the spread of the virus:

The Community and Visitor centers are closed.
The Post office will remain open. At this time access to the mail boxes will remain as it is.
Only essential meeting will be held to conduct necessary Township Business
